The high school volleyball tournament opens tonight…
– In Class D at Dollar Bay – Ontonagon faces the Blue Bolts at 6:00, and Lake Linden-Hubbell takes on Baraga at 7:30.
– In Class C at L’Anse, the Purple Hornets meet Calumet at 7:00.
NHL
The Detroit Red Wings host the Arizona Coyotes tomorrow night. Pregame will begin at 7:10 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Detroit Pistons defeated the Golden State Warriors 115-107 last night. Avery Bradley led Detroit with 23 points, and Andre Drummond nabbed 18 rebounds. The Pistons play the Lakers in Los Angeles tomorrow night.
MLB
In one of the most exciting World Series games of all time, the Houston Astros overcame an early deficit, and edged the Los Angeles Dodgers 13-12 in 10 innings. L-A had forced extra innings by scoring three times in the top of the ninth. Alex Bregman singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th. The Astros lead the series three games to two, and could wrap up their first World Championship tomorrow night in Los Angeles. Former Tiger Justin Verlander will start for Houston.
NFL
The Detroit Lions racked up 482 yards of offense, but were held to five Matt Prater field goals, as they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-15 last night.
