The Detroit Tigers fell to the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 yesterday. Daniel Norris pitched into the sixth inning. He gave up four runs, but was hurt by some sloppy defense – only two of the runs were earned.
The Tigers play at Baltimore again tonight. Matthew Boyd will start against Dylan Bundy. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
Orlando Arcia’s two-run homer in the eighth inning lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins last night. Minnesota opened an early lead, scoring four times of Gio Gonzalez in the second inning. The Crew got three of those runs back in the third inning. The Twins threatened in the bottom of the ninth, putting two runners on base before Josh Hader struck out Miguel Sano to end the game.
The Brewers wrap up that interleague series at Minnesota tonight. Zach Davies will pitch against Martín Pérez.
NHL
The Boston Bruins drew first blood in the Stanley Cup series last night, defeating the Saint Louis Blues 4-2. Game two will be played tomorrow night in Boston.

Boater Safety Class
The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Department will host a Boater Safety Class Saturday at the Ahmeek Village Hall. The state requires that you have a Boating Safety Certificate if:
– You are operating a boat, and were born on or after July 1, 1996, or
– You are operating a personal watercraft and were born after December 31st, 1978.
The eight-hour session is free, but you must register in advance. Call the Sheriff’s office at 337-0528. Lunch will be provided. Children under 12 may attend if a parent or guardian accompanies them.
