High School
In high school football last night, Bryce Turner scored three times as Hancock ripped Ironwood 41-0. Tyler Turcotte caught two touchdown passes, and Hancock capitalized on three turnovers as the Bulldogs picked up their first victory of the season. After a scoreless first quarter, the Bulldogs took advantage of a short field and Cam Nettle tossed a short pass to Turner who ran the majority of the final 32 yards to give Hancock the lead. A Red Devil fumble gave the ball to Hancock on the 21 and a pass to Turcotte made it a 14 point lead. Alex Nordstrom then finished the first half with a 26 yard interception return for a touchdown to end the half at 21-0. The Bulldogs opened the third quarter with a 60-yard scamper by Turner, and scored again with a 54-yard completion to Turcotte 12 seconds into the fourth period. Turner then wrapped up the scoring with a 31 yard run about four minutes later.
