– Houghton scored the first three goals of the game, then hung on to a 4-2 victory over Kingsford last night. Spencer Donnelly led all scorers with two goals for the Gremlins.
– Calumet’s game at Marquette was canceled because some members of the Copper Kings were ill. No make-up date has been announced.

– Houghton stopped L’Anse 53-36.
– Hancock shut down Lake Linden-Hubbell 41-23.
– Ontonagon defeated Jeffers 35-25.
– Chassell downed Ewen-Trout Creek 51-34.
– The Dollar Bay-Baraga was postponed because Dollar Bay schools were closed. No make-up date has been announced.

NBA – Pistons Drop 13th Straight Game
The Pistons’ losing streak hit 13 last night, as they fell to the Trailblazers 98-86. Detroit trailed by 11 at the end of the first quarter, and never threatened. Greg Monroe led Detroit with 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Pistons play at Phoenix Friday night.

NHL – Red Wings
The Red Wings host the Maple Leafs tonight. Faceoff is at 8:00 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
