High School

In boys basketball last evening…
• Houghton pulled away in the second period, and cruised past Hancock 69-29. Isaiah Lawson led a balanced Gremlins attack with 12 points. Mikko Salmi added 11, and Bryce Pugh 10. Vandan Jacques and Alex Pietila each scored seven for the Bulldogs.
• Lake Linden-Hubbell outscored Calumet 54-32. Gabe Popko had 23 points for the Lakes.
• L’Anse defeated Chassell 54-42.

In girls action…
• The Calumet game at Ishpeming was postponed – it will be made up tomorrow, with the JV contest at noon, and the varsity at 1:30.
• The L’Anse game at Forest Park was postponed – no make-up date has been announced.
• Lake Linden-Hubbell downed Jeffers 52-33. Cleo Milkey led the Lakes with 19 points. Sara Johnson scored 12 for the Jets.

On the boys schedule tonight…
• Jeffers plays at Lake Linden-Hubbell.

On the girls schedule this evening…
• Houghton entertains West Iron County.
• Hancock journeys to Negaunee.
• Chassell welcomes Bessemer.
