MLB: Tigers Prep for Dodgers
The Tigers had yesterday off, and open an interleague set against the Dodgers tonight. Justin Verlander will start against Hyun-Jin Ryu. Hear the first pitch at 7:08 on AM 1400, WCCY.
Kansas City won yesterday, so the Tigers’ lead in the American League Central slips to three-and-a-half games.
Brewers Fall to Phillies
The Brewers lost to the Phillies 3-2 last night. Marco Estrada struggled through five innings, giving up all three Philadelphia runs.
The Brewers host the Phillies again tonight. Wily Peralta will pitch against Kyle Kendrick.
The Cardinals won, so Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central shrinks to four games.

– At the Hancock Driving Park, McGann’s/Northern Auto defeated The Goal Post 23-14. Jason Koski had five hits, including a home run. Aaron Cosellian homered, and Gus Heinonen slugged three home runs. Erickson Crowley Peterson shut down Auto Value 22-2. Jed Denomie allowed just five hits. Tim Loftquist homered.

Pistons Add Center
The Detroit Pistons have reportedly reached an agreement with center Aaron Grey. Grey split last season between the Raptors and the Kings. He’ll provide some frontcourt depth. NBA free agent contracts can’t be announced officially until Thursday.
5k/2k Run Saturday in Chassell
The Chassell Strawberry Festival is hosting a five-k and two-k run for the first time this year. The run will begin Saturday morning at 8:00. The cost is $20.00 per runner… $10.00 for kids ages 14 and younger. You can register online, or between 7:00 and 7:45 Saturday morning at the Chassell trailhead, behind the Chassell Heritage Center.
