Hancock Clips Cranes, Advances to State Hockey Final

Hancock Hockey LogoAlex Nordstrom’s goal in overtime lifted the Hancock High School hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Cranbrook in the Division Three tournament semifinals this afternoon. The two teams played a scoreless first quarter. Luke Rautio gave the Bulldogs the lead midway through the second period when he redirected a Jack Fenton shot. The Cranes evened the score a few minutes later, and the score stayed tied through a scoreless third period. Nordstrom netted the game-winner in the first overtime, with assists from Teddy Randell and Dylan Paavola.
