In high school boys basketball last night, Hancock lost to Ishpeming 63-38.

Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Both Michigan Tech basketball teams play at Wisconsin Parkside this evening.

Both Northern Michigan University teams visit Purdue Northwest.

Finlandia University

The Finlandia men’s basketball team lost to Gogebic Community College 76-68 last night. Dillon Underwood let the Lions with 17 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Kaleb Kirksey had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lions women’s basketball team entertains Great Lakes Christian this evening at 5:30.

The Finlandia women’s hockey team faces a group of Chinese players in Minneapolis this evening.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons will host the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. Coverage will start at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NHL

The Detroit Red Wings entertain the Ottawa Senators tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 7:10 on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB

The Detroit Tigers have added some catching depth by acquiring Eric Haase from the Cleveland Indians in a cash deal. Haase has little major league experience, but was named to the International League mid-season and post-season all-star teams. The Tigers designated pitcher Dario Agrazal for assignment to clear space on the 40-man roster.

Swedetown Trails Day

Sunday is your opportunity to enjoy the Swedetown Trails for free. Swedetown Winter Trails Day offers access to the cross country ski and snowshoe trails, and the snow bike trail, at no charge between noon and 5:00. Cross Country Sports will provide free ski rentals on a first-com, first-served basis between noon and 4:30. You can also try out a snow bike. Refreshments will be served at the chalet.
