MLB – Tigers Return Tonight

The Kansas City Royals clinched their first American League Central Division title by beating the Seattle Mariners 10-4 last night.
The Brewers took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but Taylor Jungmann couldn’t hold it, and Milwaukee lost to the Saint Louis Cardinals 7-3 last night. Jungmann gave up six runs through five innings. Game details are here.
The Brewers continue that set against the Cardinals in Saint Louis this evening. Ariel Pena will pitch against Carlos Martinez.

The MTU volleyball team entertains Ashland tonight at 7:00, and welcomes Lake Erie tomorrow afternoon at 3:00.
The unbeaten and 15th-ranked Tech football team hosts Northern Michigan University tomorrow night. Kickoff is at 7:00 at Sherman Field.
The Huskies’ soccer team plays at Walsh tomorrow evening, and at Ohio Dominican Sunday at noon.
The Tech men’s tennis team plays at Bulldog Invitational in Big Rapids this weekend. The women’s tennis team plays at the ITA Regional at Indianapolis.

The Finlandia University volleyball team is hosting an invitational this weekend. Today, the Lions face Alverno College at 3:00, and Maranatha Baptist University at 6:00 at the Paavo Nurmi Center. The Lions will play Silver Lake College tomorrow at 10:30, and Great Lakes Christian College at 3:00.
The Finlandia football team entertains Wisconsin-Stevens Point tomorrow at 4:00.
The Lions women’s soccer team hosts Lawrence University tomorrow morning at 11:00.
NHL – Wings Pound ‘Pens
The Detroit Red Wings bombed the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-1 in preseason NHL play last night. Teemu Pulkkinen had two goals and two assists, and rookie Dylan Larkin scored twice. Jimmy Howard stopped 34 shots in goal. Details are here. The Wings will host the Boston Bruins tomorrow night.

In last night’s NFL game, the New York Giants defeated Washington 32-21.
