High School

In high school hockey last night…
• Bryant Lee made 20 saves as Houghton blanked Marquette 3-0. Landon Stevens scored twice for the Gremlins, and Mike Maillette found the net once.
• Jeffers outskated Negaunee 5-2.

Two Calumet volleyball players have been honored by the Michigan Volleyball Coaches Association. Helen Beiring was named to the Division Three All State First Team, and Laina Kariniemi was placed on the Second Team.

College Basketball

The Michigan Tech men’s basketball team lost 86-77 to Maryville yesterday at a tournament at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Adam Hobson scored 20 for the Huskies, who will face the host Tritons today.

The Finlandia women’s basketball team fell 76-49 at Northern Michigan last night. Natalie Bartle scored 12 for the Lions.

The Finlandia men’s team plays at Wisconsin-River Falls tonight.

NHL

The Red Wings host the Predators tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons broke their seven-game losing streak with a 110-108 victory over the Nuggets last night. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points, and Alec Burks added 21.

The Pistons visit the Jazz tonight.

NFL
