MLB
The Tigers have formalized their contract with starting pitcher Jack Flaherty, and officially welcomed him yesterday. The one-year agreement will pay the former Cardinals ace $14 million, with an additional $1 million in incentives.
Former Tigers catcher Eric Haase has inked a one-year deal with the Brewers. He’s expected to back up William Contreras.
The Brewers have traded pitcher Adrian Houser and outfielder Tyrone Taylor to the Mets. In exchange, they get minor league pitcher Coleman Crow. Houser went 8-5 with a 4.12 ERA in 21 starts for Milwaukee last summer. Taylor hit .234 with 10 home runs in 81 games. Both are arbitration-eligible. In exchange, the Brewers get minor league pitcher Coleman Crow, who is recovering from Tommy John ligament replacement surgery.
