NHL

The Red Wings fell to the Senators 3-2 in overtime last night. Daniel Sprong scored in the first period, and Dylan Larkin’s third-period tally forced the extra stanza. Shane Pinto netted the game-winner for Ottawa. Alex Lyon made 22 saves.

Because of the all-star game break, the Wings are off until February 10th.

NBA

The Pistons lost to the Cavaliers 128-122 last evening. Danilo Gallinari came off the bench to lead Detroit with 20 points. Cade Cunningham added 19.

The Pistons host the Clippers tomorrow, with coverage starting at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL

The Packers have named Jeff Hafley as their new defensive coordinator. Hafley has spent the past four seasons as head coach at Boston College. He’s worked as an NFL assistant for the 49ers, Browns and Buccaneers.

MLB

Former Tigers and Brewers pitcher Wily Peralta has signed a minor league contract with the Pirates.

The Brewers have added some depth by signing utility player Christian Arroyo to a minor league deal. Arroyo played for the Red Sox last season, and has spent time with the Giants, Rays and Guardians.
