Fast Pitch Softball

In Copper Country Fast Pitch Softball League play last evening…
• JB’s Sales and Service defeated Superior Service 16-4. Lucy Biekkola was the winning pitcher. For JB’s, Brynn Arko had three singles and Biekkola had a double and a single. For Superior Service, Milly Loukus had two singles and Reagan Moyle had a double.
• Tervo Agency outscored Superior National Bank 25-11. Ellen Coppernoll was the winning pitcher. For Superior National Bank, Coppernoll had a single, a double and a triple and Alana Nolan had a double and two singles. For Superior National Bank, Morgan Erkkila and Meg Ruohonen each had a double and a single, and Sylvia Aho had two singles.
• In a make-up game from Monday, Gold Standard and Tervo Agency played to an 8-8 tie. Emily Jokela and Payton Goldsworthy pitched for Gold Standard and Mel Baker pitched for Tervo Agency. For Gold Standard, Kara Kinnunen had two singles and four RBI, and Goldsworthy had a triple and a double. For Tervo, Mel Baker had a triple and a single and Alana Nolan three hits and two RBI.

Twilight League

In Copper Country Twilight League baseball tonight…
• Craig Heinonen Coldwell Banker takes on Houghton Building Supply-Stanton at the Stanton field.
• Garnet Garage plays REL-Mohawk Technology at the Wolverine field.

MLB

The Tigers return to action tomorrow, when they visit the Blue Jays. XXX will pitch against YYY. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Milwaukee is off until Saturday, when they play at Minnesota.
