College Basketball

The Finlandia women’s basketball team couldn’t maintain a strong start, and lost to Wisconsin-River Falls 61-49 in their opening game at the Wisconsin-Superior Holiday Shootout last night. Natalie Bartle scored 20 for the Lions, and Bethany Baldwin added 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Lions will wrap up the Shootout against Saint Catherine this afternoon.

The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team plays at Walsh this afternoon.

The Calumet Wolverines edged the Portage Lake Pioneers 2-1 in an overtime shootout last night.

NHL

The Red Wings host the Senators this evening. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons lost to the Bulls 132-118 last night. Jaden Ivey led Detroit with 22 points, and Bojan Bogdanovic added 20.

The Pistons visit the Timberwolves tonight.
