College Baseball

The Finlandia University baseball team fell to Wisconsin-Whitewater 18-2 yesterday. Gideon Scott and Jacob Godoshian each had two of the Lions’ four hits. The Lions record drops to 0-33. They’ll conclude their season next weekend at Wisconsin-Stout.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons fell 108-96 to the Chicago Bulls last night. The short-handed Pistons opened the game with eight players unavailable, and lost Frank Jackson to a sprained ankle in the first quarter. Killian Hayes led Detroit with a career-best 21 points. Saddiq Bey added 20, and Isaiah Stewart chipped in 19.

The Pistons host the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow.

MLB

The Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins were rained out yesterday. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader July 16th.

The Tigers have today off, and host the Kansas City Royals tomorrow night. Coverage begins at 6:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

Tyrone Taylor singled home the winning run in the top of the 10th inning, as the Milwaukee Brewers edged the Miami Marlins 2-1 yesterday. Seven Milwaukee pitchers combined to give up just seven Miami hits, and strike out 12 batters. Josh Hader got the win in relief, and Drew Rasmussen earned the save. Daniel Vogelbach homered.

The Brewers also have today off, and entertain the Saint Louis Cardinals tomorrow.
