Finlandia Women’s Soccer Roll Continues – Monday Sports Wrap

High School
In high school volleyball tonight…
– Ewen-Trout Creek plays at Dollar Bay-Tamarack City.
– Jeffers entertains Ontonagon.

Finlandia
The Finlandia University women’s soccer team ripped Mount Mary University 8-0 yesterday. Rylie Steele scored three goals, and Kirsten L’Esperance scored twice and had four assists. The Lions outshot the Blue Angels 60-1.

The men’s soccer team fell 3-0 at Olivet College yesterday.

MTU
The MTU soccer team blanked Wisconsin-Parkside 2-0 yesterday. Jesse Jacobusse and Grace Shaw scored for the Huskies.

MLB
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Houston Astros 7-5 yesterday, to even the American League Championship Series at one win per team. Game three will be played tomorrow in Houston.

The Milwaukee Brewers face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the third game of the National League Championship Series tonight. The series is tied at one win per team.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings will skate at Montreal tonight. Because of NFL football, pregame coverage will begin at 7:10 on KBear 102.3.

NFL
The Detroit Lions were off this weekend. In last night’s game, the New England Patriots outscored the Kansas City Chiefs 43-40. Stephen Gostkowski’s short field goal with three minutes remaining was the game-winner. The Green Bay Packers host the San Francisco 49ers tonight. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
