College Basketball
The Finlandia University women’s basketball team wiped out Mount Mary 110-35 yesterday. Bailey Froberg led the Lions with 27 points. Elli Djerf added 16. The 110 points set a new school record, and other marks were set with 48 field goals and 36 assists. Carsyn Osterman had 15 assists, the second-best total in school history.
College Hockey
The Finlandia men’s hockey team lost 4-1 to Lawrence University yesterday. Dylan Paavola scored the Lions’ only goal. Marcus Gloss made 34 saves.
NHL
The Detroit Red Wings host the Chicago Blackhawks Wednesday. Coverage begins at 7:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Detroit Pistons lost to the Denver Nuggets 117-111 last night. Isaiah Stewart, Cade Cunningham, Cory Joseph and Trey Lyles each scored 18 points for Detroit.

NFL
In the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs yesterday…
• Matt Gay’s field goal as time expired lifted the Los Angeles Rams to a 30-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams led by 24 points midway through the third quarter, before the Bucs mounted a furious comeback.
• The Kansas City Chiefs dispatched the Buffalo Bills 42-36 in overtime. The two teams combined to score 21 points in the final two minutes of regulation. Harrison Bulker’s 49-yard field goal as the clock expired forced extra time. Patrick Mahomes’ third touchdown pass of the night was the game-winner.
The conference championship matches are set for Sunday. The Cincinnati Bengals will visit the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC crown in a 3:00 game.
