Former Tigers’ outfielder Andy Dirks is now a free agent. Dirks was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays last month, after Detroit made some 40-man roster adjustments. He missed the entire 2014 season following back surgery. Dirks was eligible for arbitration if the Blue Jays had offered a contract, but Toronto declined. Dirks can now sign with any team.

The Jays brought in another former Detroit outfielder yesterday, signing Ezequiel Carrera to a minor league deal with a major league spring training invite. Former Detroit reliever Jim Johnson has signed a one-year major league deal with the Braves. Johnson joined the Tigers late last season, after being released by the Athletics.
