Finlandia Adds 35 Football Players

Finlandia University has added 35 more players to the roster of its first football team. That brings the number of student-athletes on the first team to 59, with some additional commitments still possible. 19 of the new recruits are from the Upper Peninsula.

Players from our area include Nic Walli and Austin Peterson from Lake Linden-Hubbell… Henry Williams from Ewen-Trout Creek… and Grant Holmstrom, who grew up in Hancock, but graduated from Lyman High School in Lyman, Wyoming.

The Finlandia football team will open its first season on September 5th against Alma College at McAfee Field.
