MLB
Michael Fulmer gave up just one run on two hits over eight innings Saturday, as the Detroit Tigers pounded the Toronto Blue Jays 11-1. Miguel Cabrera, J.D. Martinez and Nicholas Castellanos hit home runs.

The Tigers host the Blue Jays again tonight. Anibal Sanchez will start against Marco Estrada. Pregame coverage begins at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Travis Shaw’s home run in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday. Jimmy Nelson pitched well, giving up just two runs on three hits before leaving in the seventh inning. Jacob Barnes got the win in relief, and Cory Knebel earned his 16th save. Hernán Pérez also homered.

The Brewers entertain the Phillies again this afternoon. Matt Garza will pitch against Jeremy Hellickson.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons have waived guard Michael Gbinije. The move was expected, in advance of a deadline that would have guaranteed his 1.3-million dollar contract. Gbinije played in just nine games last season. He could stay with the Pistons if he agrees to a deal that would allow him to be assigned to their Grand Rapids development team.
