MLB

The Detroit Tigers remain on an unexpected break because their opponents, the Saint Louis Cardinals, have been sidelined by COVID-19 infections. The Tigers are on track to return to the field Friday in Pittsburgh. Coverage will begin at 6:40 on 99.3 the Lift.

It appears increasingly unlikely that the series against the Cardinals will be made up.

The Cardinals reported no additional positive COVID-19 tests yesterday, and hope to resume their season Friday against the Chicago Cubs. The Miami Marlins have also reported no additional infections, and are on track to pick up their season Friday against the Mets.

The Milwaukee Brewers lost 3-2 to the Chicago White Sox last night. Both Milwaukee runs came on a Ben Gamel homer in the fifth. Brandon Woodruff threw five shutout innings, but surrendered two runs in the sixth. The Sox scored the game-winner off Devin Williams in the seventh.

The Brewers host the Sox again tonight. Adrian Houser will start against Dallas Keuchel.
