• Chassell cruised past Ontonagon 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-9).
• Jeffers v Watersmeet – no report.
• L’Anse v Bessemer – canceled because of COVID-19 issues at Bessemer.
• Baraga v Ewen-Trout Creek – no report.
There will be no Copper Bowl football game between Houghton and Hancock this year. The annual match was called off because of potential exposure to COVID-19 by Gremlins players. Hancock athletic director Chris Salani told us yesterday that he’s looking for an alternate opponent for a game Friday night. If the Bulldogs do line up a game, we’ll broadcast it on 99.3 The Lift.
As far as we know, the potential COVID-19 exposure at Houghton High School has not affected the volleyball team.
