• Lake Linden-Hubbell downed Jeffers 59-46. Emily Jokela led all scorers with 24.
• L’Anse closed out Ontonagon 51-44 in overtime.
• Baraga defeated Ewen-Trout Creek 50-41.
• Chassell edged Dollar Bay-Tamarack City 40-35.

In boys action…
• Baraga lost to Ewen-Trout Creek 68-36.
• Chassell got past Dollar Bay-Tamarack City 65-60. Eli Danison led the Panthers with 20 points and Mason Loukus added 14. Liam Tourtillott scored 28 for the Blue Bolts.

MLB

The Tigers have claimed pitcher Kolton Ingram off waivers from the Angels. To make room on the roster, they designated infielder Nick Maton for assignment.

The Brewers have reportedly agreed to terms with veteran pitcher Jakob Junis. He made 40 appearances, including four starts, with the Giants last summer. Milwaukee also sold the rights of pitcher Ethan Small to the Giants. Small was the Brewers’ first-round draft pick in 2019. He had been designated for assignment last week.
