Calumet will face West Iron County in the high school volleyball tournament regional final tonight. NBA
The Detroit Pistons overcame an early deficit, and outscored the Indiana Pacers 114-97 last night. Tobias Harris led Detroit with 23 points, and Andre Drummond collected 21 rebounds. Detroit played without the injured Stanley Johnson and Jon Leuer, but got key contributions from every player on the bench. The Pistons entertain the Atlanta Hawks tomorrow night. Tip-off is at 7:00 on 99.3 The Lift.
NFL
In tonight’s NFL game, the Seattle Seahawks visit the Arizona Cardinals. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
The Green Bay Packers have released tight end Martellus Bennett. Bennett signed a three-year, 21-million dollar contract with the Packers last summer. He had not been productive, had missed time because of a shoulder injury, and had hinted in social media posts that he might retire at the end of this season. The team cited an “undisclosed medical issue” as the reason for the release. That could mean that they’re looking to recoup some of the eight million dollars they’ve already paid him.
Our Finlandia University hockey coverage continues tomorrow afternoon, when the Lions women’s team entertains St. Norbert College. The pregame show will begin at 1:40 on 99.3 The Lift, and 993TheLift.com.
