Calumet Claims Top WestPAC Volleyball Honors

The Calumet High School volleyball team swept the top honors in this year’s WestPAC All-Conference voting. Outside hitter Allie Bjorn was named Player of the Year, libero Jess Anderson was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Kate Bonacorsi was honored as Coach of the Year.

Local members of the All-Conference First Team include Maddie Torola, Jackie Kiilunen and Bella Coppo from Calumet; Brooke Koskela and Emily L’Esperance from Hancock; and Laney Johnson and Emily Pietila from Houghton.

Local players named to the All-Conference Second Team include Reese Driscoll and Sadie Biekkola from Hancock; and Chloe Serafin and Jacey Sleeman from Houghton.
