NHL

Last night’s Detroit Red Wings’ game against Colorado was postponed because of COVID-19 issues. The entire NHL is shutting down for a week, to try to get past the most recent outbreak. Practices will resume Sunday, with games picking back up on Monday. Players will need to test negative to return to team facilities.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons visit the New York Knicks tonight. Coverage will begin at 7:05 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL

Last night…
• The Las Vegas Raiders edged the Cleveland Browns 16-14.
• The Minnesota Vikings stopped the Chicago Bears 17-9.

There are two games set for tonight. Both were postponed from Sunday because of COVID-19 issues…
• The Seattle Seahawks visit the Los Angeles Rams.
• The Washington Football Team visits the Philadelphia Eagles.

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been added to the COVID-19 list. Tackle Matt Nelson has also been placed on the list. 47 NFL players tested positive yesterday – the most in a single day so far in the pandemic. 13 Lions have been added to the COVID list in the past 15 days. It’s not clear how long Goff, Nelson and the others will be out. New NFL guidelines allow vaccinated players to return more quickly than before, based on their symptoms and the amount of virus in their systems. Linebacker Alex Anzalone will miss the rest of the season, after injuring his right shoulder in Sunday’s game. On the positive side, running back D’Andre Swift returned to practice yesterday, after missing time with a shoulder injury.
