Click on the highlighted scores for additional game details.

MLB

The Tigers couldn’t hold an early lead, and fell to the Twins 5-3 last night. Miguel Cabrera’s two-run homer in the second inning was just his second of the year. That held up while Alex Faedo tossed five scoreless innings. José Cisnero took over in the sixth, and allowed a run without getting an out. Will Vest relieved him, and surrendered a grand slam to Matt Wallner. Spencer Torkelson added a late home run for Detroit.

That quick set concludes at Minnesota this afternoon. Reese Olson will pitch against Kenta Maeda. Coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Detroit has promoted catching prospect Dillon Dingler from Double-A Erie to Triple-A Toledo. Dingler was the team’s second-round draft pick in 2020. After recovering from knee surgery this spring, he hit .253 with nine homers in 51 games.

The Brewers got just two hits in a 6-2 loss to the Dodgers last night. Adrian Houser turned in four shutout innings, but gave up a run in the fifth, and left as L-A scored five in the sixth. Carlos Santana homered for Milwaukee.

That series in Los Angeles continues tonight. Wade Miley will start against Clayton Kershaw.

The Reds and Cubs also lost, so Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central Division remains at three-and-a-half games.
