The Detroit Tigers had yesterday off, and begin a series against the Rangers at Texas tonight. Anibal Sanchez will pitch against Yu Darvish. Hear the first pitch at 8:05 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

Cleveland won yesterday, so the Indians now lead the Tigers by four games in the American League Central Division.

Warwick Saupold’s second call-up to the Tigers lasted just one game. He’s been sent back to Toledo to make room for Bruce Rondon, who is returning from paternity leave.

The Milwaukee Brewers scored in every inning, and defeated the Atlanta Braves 11-3 yesterday afternoon. It’s just the 19th time in Major League history that a club has scored in every turn at bat. Chris Carter, Scooter Gennett and Hernan Perez homered. Matt Garza opened the game with five shutout innings, then gave up two runs in the sixth. Michael Blazek gave up Atlanta’s third run in the seventh.

The Brewers host the Cincinnati Reds tonight. Jimmy Nelson will pitch against Homer Bailey.

Game two of the Twilight Baseball League championship series was rained out yesterday. If conditions permit, Wolverine-Orbit will face Superior National Bank-Stanton this evening at the Stanton field. Wolverine won the opening game of the best-of-three set Tuesday. Our broadcast coverage will begin around 6:15 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com. If a third game is needed, it will be played either Sunday or Tuesday.
