The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Minnesota Twins 7-4 last night, in a game that was stopped after six innings because of a storm. Chase Anderson took the loss, giving up five runs – four of them earned – over five innings. He surrendered 11 hits, including two home runs. Scooter Gennett doubled twice and scored twice for Milwaukee. Those teams play again in Minnesota this afternoon. Wily Peralta will pitch against Ervin Santana.
The Detroit Tigers had yesterday off, and will open a series at Kansas City tonight. Shane Greene will pitch against Yordano Ventura.
Blaine Hardy will be back in the bullpen for tonight’s game. He’s been on the disabled list because of a shoulder problem. To make room on the roster, Logan Kensing has been designated for assignment. If he clears waivers, the Tigers will assign him to Toledo.
NHL
The Detroit Red Wings continue their opening-round playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight in Detroit. Tampa leads the best-of-seven set two games to one. Face-off is at 7:00 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
NBA
The Detroit Pistons face the Cleveland Cavaliers again tomorrow evening in Cleveland. The Cavs won game one of that best-of-seven opening round playoff series.
Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for publicly criticizing officials. Van Gundy’s televised comments came between the first and second quarters of Sunday’s loss, regarding a couple of fouls that officials could have called on Cleveland star LeBron James, but elected not to.

Finlandia
The Finlandia University baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Wisconsin-Superior yesterday, 7-4 and 26-0. The Lions play two at Northland College this afternoon.
