MLB

The Tigers had yesterday off, and visit the Yankees tonight. Alex Faedo will start against Gerrit Cole. Coverage will begin at 6:40 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers fell to the Pirates 4-2 last night. Two runs in the second inning gave Milwaukee an early lead, but Corbin Burnes surrendered up two in the fourth, and two more in the fifth, and took the loss.

The Brewers visit the Pirates again tonight. Brandon Woodruff will start for the Crew.

The Cubs and Reds both won, so Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central Division shrinks to two-and-a-half games over Chicago, and five and a half over Cincinnati.

Golf

The Portage Lake Pioneers will hold their annual golf outing at the Wyandotte Hills course Saturday. It’s an 18-hole, two-person scramble, with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $120 per team, with cart, plus $10 skins and $10 mulligans. There’s a cash purse, along with many other prizes, gimmick holes and a hole-in-one contest.
