College Basketball
The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team fell 71-67 to sixth-ranked Minnesota Duluth yesterday. Kendall Standfest scored 16 for the Huskies.
The NMU women’s team rode a strong second half to a 63-52 victory over St. Cloud State yesterday.
NHL
The Red Wings visit the Islanders tonight. Because of NFL football on 99.3 The Lift, Wings coverage will begin at 7:15 on KBear 102.3.
NBA
The Pistons welcome the Raptors this evening. Cade Cunningham is listed as doubtful, as he recovers from a sacroiliac strain.
NFL
Jahmyr Gibbs ran for two touchdowns, as the Lions shut down the Colts 24-6 yesterday. It was another costly loss, though, as punt returner Kalif Raymond, running back David Montgomery, and cornerback Carlton Davis left in the second half with injuries. They’ll be examined today, although team officials said after the game that Montgomery could have returned had he been needed. At 10-1, the Lions are off to their best start since 1934.
The Packers routed the 49ers 38-10. Josh Jacobs ran for 108 yards and three touchdowns, and Jordan Love passed for two.
The Eagles outscored the Rams 37-20 in the Sunday night game.
Tonight, the Chargers entertain the Ravens, with coverage at 7:30 on 99.3 The Lift.
