MLB

Matthew Boyd struggled, as the Detroit Tigers lost to the Minnesota Twins 7-4 yesterday. Boyd gave up all seven Minnesota runs over six innings. He allowed just four hits, but two were home runs, and he walked five batters.

The Tigers have today off, and begin a home set against the Cleveland Indians tomorrow night. Spencer Turnbull will start against Adam Plutko. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift. 

The Milwaukee Brewers fell behind early, and dropped a 5-2 decision to the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday. Zach Davies gave up four runs over four innings. Manny Piña homered.

The Brewers will open a home series against the National League Central Division-leading Saint Louis Cardinals tonight. Gio Gonzalez will start against Adam Wainwright.

Milwaukee remains in third place in the division, 4.5 games behind the Cardinals, and two games behind the Chicago Cubs.

Biking

Registration continues for the annual Copper Harbor Trails Festival Saturday and Sunday. Activities will include a number of mountain bike races for all ages, a 10k run, and good food and live entertainment in Grant Township Park each evening.
