Baraga’s Jahfetson Leads CMC Girls Hoops All-Stars

Baraga’s Martina Jahfetson has been named the Most Valuable Girls Basketball Player in the Copper Mountain Conference. Fahran Kolpack of Ontonagon was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Ewen-Trout Creek’s Jacky Besonen was honored as Coach of the Year.

Jahfetson was joined on the All-Conference Elite team by Vikings teammate Jaylyne Lindemann, Elise Besonen and Paige Berglund of Ewen-Trout Creek, Jenna Pietila from Chassell and Holly Wardynski of Ontonagon.

Gracia Asiala of Jeffers, Rylie Koskinen of Baraga and Paige Sleeman of Chassell filled out the Copper Country Conference First Team.

Copper Country Conference Second Team members include Lela Rautiola from Chassell, Mackenzie LePage from Lake Linden-Hubbell, Marissa Nordstrom from Jeffers, and Allyison Durant and Reide Osterman from Baraga. Heidi Hillstrom from Jeffers earned Honorable Mention votes.
