The Finlandia University baseball team dropped both ends of its doubleheader at Wisconsin-Whitewater Saturday, 15-2 and 11-4. Chance White homered for the Lions, who will play two more at Whitewater today.

• The Boston Celtics got past the Brooklyn Nets 109-103. Boston leads that set 3-0.

• The Utah Jazz edged the Dallas Mavericks 100-99. That series is tied 2-2.
• The Minnesota Timberwolves shaded the Memphis Grizzlies 119-118. That set is tied 2-2.
In the Eastern Conference today…
• The Milwaukee Bucks visit the Chicago Bulls. Milwaukee leads that series 2-1.
• The Atlanta Hawks host the Miami Heat. Miami is up 2-1 in that series.

• The Denver Nuggets entertain the Golden State Warriors. Golden State leads that set 3-0.

The Detroit Red Wings’ late-season struggles continued with a 7-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday afternoon in their final home game of the season. Jakub Vrana and Michael Rasmussen scored for Detroit. Thomas Greiss gave up five goals through the first two periods. Alex Nedeljkovic finished the game in net.
The Wings visit the New Jersey Devils this afternoon.
MLB
Miguel Cabrera wasted no time Saturday in collecting his 3,000th career hit. Cabrera entered one of baseball’s most elite clubs with a first-inning single in the first of two games the Tigers played against the Colorado Rockies. He eventually scored on a Spencer Torkelson home run. The Tigers went on to rout the Rockies 13-0. Tarik Skubal gave up five hits over six shutout innings. Detroit batters collected 20 hits.
In the second game of the day, the Rockies took an early lead, and held off a late Detroit rally for a 3-2 victory. Beau Brieske gave up all three Colorado runs over five innings in his major league debut. Austin Meadows’ two-run triple in the bottom of the ninth closed the gap, but Harold Castro struck out to end the game.
The Tigers host the Rockies again this afternoon. Tyler Alexander will start against Chad Kuhl. Coverage will begin at 12:50 on 99.3 The Lift.
Cabrera becomes the 33rd player in major league history to knock 3,000 hits, and just the seventh also to hit at least 500 home runs.
The Milwaukee Brewers overcame an early deficit with a four-run fifth inning, and surged past the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 Saturday. Hunter Renfroe homered, and Willy Adames stole home. Adrian Houser turned in six innings, and got the win.
The Brewers play in Philadelphia again this afternoon. Eric Lauer will start against Aaron Nola.
