Roberta Trathen, 77, a resident of Houghton passed away Friday morning December 22, 2017, at the Lighthouse of Hancock where she had been a resident since this past May.
She was born on March 10, 1940, in Highland Park, MI, a daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Lovaas) McAllister. Roberta graduated from the Highland Park High School.
On March 9, 1963, she was united in marriage to Herbert P. Trathen. The couple moved to Houghton in 1975. On October 31, 1988, Herbert preceded Roberta in death.
Mrs. Trathen had worked at the Soumi Restaurant in Houghton helping clean and she enjoyed helping her neighbors by shoveling snow in the winter.
Also preceding her in death were her Sister Judy Morency and her brother Fred McAllister.

John (Christina Lantto) Trathen of Houghton
Three grandchildren: Alicia Miranda and Aiden and three great grandchildren; Alivia, Deklan and Ryker
Her sister: Suzy Fish of Holly, MI
Several nieces, nephews and cousins
A private graveside service for Roberta will be held later this spring in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
