Robert E. McLain Sr, 91, a former resident of South Range passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Omega House in Houghton.
He was born on April 24, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Daniel and Viola (Russell) McLain.
He attended the local schools around the Los Angeles area.
After high school, he was united in marriage to Clara E. Lawrence in Fresno, California.
He then enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the 6th infantry division. During his time in the United States Army, Robert served as a vehicle driver. He was a National Defense Service Medal Recipient.
After being discharged from the United States Army, worked as a supervisor for a construction company, and he retired from the Mesa Mormon Temple in 1991.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Teamsters Union.
He is preceded in death by, his parents, Daniel and Viola McLain, his wife Clara, and an infant brother, Henry McLain.

John McLain of Vancouver, Washington
1 Sister: Esther McLain Henley of White Salmon, Washington
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with President Jared Anderson to officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 3:00 pm until the time of the funeral service.
Burial will take place in Washington State at the Tahoma National Cemetery.
