Richard M. “Dickie Bird” Beauprey, age 60, of Sidnaw, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 21, 2017. He was born in L’Anse on June 9, 1957, the son of the late Clifford and Marjorie (Grooms) Beauprey. Richard graduated from L’Anse High School in 1975. He had worked for the railroad as a mechanic. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard Beauprey Jr of Pelkie and Jolene (Greg) Aleo of L’Anse, step children Laurie and Karl, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Susan (David) Colle of Hayward, Wisconsin, an aunt and cousins, his significant other Lyla Ciancio and her daughter Nikki. He is also survived by his children’s mother Judy Beauprey. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Peter.
A memorial funeral service for Richard will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Sidnaw United Methodist Church, Sidnaw with Reverend Steve Rhoades officiating. A luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral service at the church.
