Peter Miller

Lake Linden: Peter Miller, 90, lifelong resident of Lake Linden, passed away unexpectedly, with his family by his side, at the Aspirus Wausau hospital on October 20, 2017.
                He was born February 16, 1927, a son of Peter and Helen (Pflugi) Miller.  He attended Lake Linden Schools before being drafted into the Army during World War II.  Upon his return, he went to work for C&H Mining in the smelter.  Later, he worked for White Pine Copper Mine for 17 years, and he retired from the First National Bank in Lake Linden.
                He was married to Angela Fausone on May 26, 1951.  She passed on July 25 of this year.  They were blessed to have 66 wonderful years together.
                Peter was a member of the Lake Linden Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years.
                He enjoyed the family camp at Rice Lake, working in his shop, four-wheeling, hunting and fishing, camping trips in the RV, and going to the casino.
                He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, 2 sisters-Martha Morin and Gertie Joosten, and a brother-Robert Miller.
                He is survived by: 2 sons-Norbert (Peggy) Miller of Lake Linden and Martin (Ann) Miller of Calumet; 3 grandchildren-Bryan (Addie) Miller of Calumet, Erik (Shanda) Miller of Lake Linden, and Jennifer (Tim) Niedzwiecki of Atlantic Mine; 10 great-grandchildren-Avery, Brynn, Ari, Braya, Teegen, Dallas, Alyssa, Tommy, Joey, and Lucas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
                The Funeral Liturgy will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 25, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate.  Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the start of the funeral on Wednesday.  Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
