Zelda (Zel) Irene Peryam, 72 of Hancock, MI passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was born on November 18, 1948, and was a graduate of the Hancock High School. Zelda worked as a nurse aid at The Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock for many years until her retirement. She loved caring for her patients.
She also loved spending her time at McLain’s State Park, sitting on her favorite bench and watching the waves of Lake Superior, taking fall drives to Copper Harbor while listening to Alan Jackson, and on the way home stopping at Toni’s Country Kitchen Restaurant for a pasty which was her favorite.
She was a wonderful and loving mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially by her daughters Angela (Dean-o) Pellegrini and Lisa (Richard) Quinones. She is now in Heaven with her daughter Shelley (Robert) (Lahti) Colosky who she missed dearly. She will also be missed by Clarence (Darlene) Lahti and David (Darlene) Peryam.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Ernest Peryam and mother, Zelda (Laitanen) Peryam, her two sisters, Dorothy (Dolly) (Tom) Sutinen and Janice (Paul) Ollie and her three brothers, Darrel, Terry, and Leonard Peryam.
She left behind three grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Lahti, Justin Colosky, Jordan (Monica) Colosky, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We will have a celebration-of-life service in the Summer of 2022. We will have more service information at a later date at www.memorialchapel.net
