William F. “Bill” Mannikko, 59, of L’Anse, MI died unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2023 in Green Bay, WI after a recent cancer diagnosis.
Bill was born in L’Anse on November 8, 1963, the son of Leonard and Carole (Cholette) Mannikko. He graduated from L’Anse High School in 1981. Bill graduated from Devry Technical Institute in Chicago, IL in 1983 with an associate’s degree in Electronic Technology. He worked in the logging and railroad industry. Bill absolutely loved the U.P. and returned to enjoy the outdoors and all that God’s country had to offer after spending 15 years in Indiana.
Bill is survived by his children; Ashley (Justin) Bradley of LaOtto, IN, Brandon (Lindsey) Mannikko of Marengo, OH, Kyle Mannikko of Kendallville, IN and Sara (Shelby) Desormeaux of Avilla, IN., his children’s mother, Robin of Garrett, IN, grandchildren, Easton Mannikko, KyLynn Mannikko, Kole Desormeaux, Jax Desormeaux, Dylan Bradley, Trey Desormeaux and Connor Bradley, his parents, Leonard and Carole Mannikko of L’Anse, MI, his sister, Mary Remer of Lansing, MI, his niece, his nephews, and many other family members and friends in the U.P. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Ann and brother, Chris.
Graveside services will take place at the Herman Cemetery at a later date and will be announced at that time.
