William A. Herstrom 66 a resident of Calumet passed away on Tuesday, July 23rd in Milwaukee WI from complications following a bone marrow transplant.
He was born Nov. 11th 1952 in Detroit to Marvin & Annette (Wahtola) Herstrom. Bill was a graduate of Calumet High School & a Navy veteran. After serving his country, Bill worked in the mining industry, in maintenance at Calumet Housing & also as a bartender. He was an avid animal lover & also the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping & fishing, watching sports & cooking for his neighbors & friends.
Bill is survived by his father Marvin Herstrom, his brother Terry Herstrom. Sisters Lynda (Svante) Andersson, Lisa (Mike) O’Leary & Lori Herstrom. Nephews Matt & Ryan & nieces Jessica, Britta & Lea.
He was preceded in death by his mother Annette Herstrom.
A gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Monday Aug. 5th from 11 – 1 at Erickson Crowley Peterson funeral home.
