Vivian W. A. Grentz, age 88, of Nisula, MI passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Bayside Village, L’Anse, MI. She was born in Nisula on April 12, 1931 the daughter of the late John and Selma (Leskela) Lindrus. Vivian graduated from Baraga High School. She married Donald Grentz in Detroit, MI on January 21, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2013. Vivian was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church, Pelkie. She enjoyed camping and crafting.
Vivian is survived by her children Don (Elaine) Grentz, Jim (Jean) Grentz, Ann Brunk and Jan (Steve) Kallungi, 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, brother Rod (Carol) Lindrus, sisters Martha (Mervin) Pelto, Jean Pelto and Ruth Normand and sister-in-law Ruth Lindrus. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Albert and other family members.
Funeral services for Vivian will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Mission United Lutheran Church, Pelkie, MI with Pastor D.J. Rasner officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Immediately following the funeral service, the family invites friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Nisula Cemetery.
