Veronica Agnes (Harris) Stellberg, 99, a longtime Calumet resident passed away at Canal View on June 1, 2023.
She was born in Calumet on February 17, 1924, daughter of Joseph and Delia (Dwyer) Harris. She graduated from Calumet High School with the Class of 1942.
She was married to Herbert Stellberg on June 23, 1951―They resided in Calumet. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1991.
She worked at Michigan Bell right out of high school for 28 years, then at UPPCO for 16 years until her retirement on December 1, 1986.
She received the Helen Baratono Volunteer Award for her recognition of dedication and faithful volunteer services to the Calumet Theatre.
She was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Calumet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Betty McCarthy, and Frankie (Mary) Verville. She is survived by her nieces and Nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11 am on Monday August 14, 2023 in the Sacred Heart Church of Calumet. Burial will take place at the Lake View Cemetery, section W, following the service.
