Thomas Lee Roth, age 61 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 4, 1956 in Detroit, MI son of Norman and Wyonne (Diestler) Roth Sr. Tom grew up in Royal Oak, MI and moved to L’Anse about 30 years ago. He worked at Erickson’s Sawmill and Collin’s Sawmill, and most recently would help at the Whirl-I-gig doing various jobs.
He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, walking, and spending time with his family, including his nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his brother Timothy (Laurie) Roth of Warren, MI; sisters, Dawn Roth and Diane Roth both of L’Anse; nieces, Heather Roth of L’Anse, Jenny (Robby) Sipe of Aura, Michele Miller of L’Anse, Ashley (Tim) Nousiainen of New Braunsfel, TX, Megan Roth of Sevierville, TN; nephew T.J. Roth of Warren; great nieces and nephews Michael, Nathen Kaly Marquardt. Kyra, Kaiden, Kannon, Kage Sipe. Christopher, Mason, Carson Marshall, and Kyler Nousiainen .
Preceding him in death are his parents and brother Norman Albert Roth Jr.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 24th from 10-11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee,MI. His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM with Rev. Peter Suomela officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the spring in the Skanee Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
