Obituary: Thomas Codere

Thomas Raymond Codere, 70, of Lake Linden, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2021, at UP Health System-Marquette.
He was born on December 28, 1951, at home on the family farm on Rice Lake Road, a twin son of Edward and Evelyn (Thibodeau) Codere. He graduated from Lake LInden-Hubbell High School in 1971.
Tom was self-employed as a potato farmer. He worked for the Road Commission, Copper Country Homes, Our Lady of Mercy and as an over-the-road truck driver, most recently for American Service Line out of Green Bay until his retirement on May 17, 2021.
Tom was married to Sharon Dube at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell on October 23, 1976.
He loved gardening, he enjoyed snowmobiling, and the Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by: his parents-Edward and Evelyn Codere, and brothers-James, Gerald, and Gary.
He is survived by: his wife-Sharon; 4 children-Lisa Codere, Lori (Nick) Hacka, Jeff (Sarah) Codere, and Debra (Donald) Laitila; 8 grandchildren-Kadiesha Codere, D’Anthony Codere, Oliver Hacka, Wyatt Codere, Owen Codere, Arya Codere, Gavin Codere, and Dawson Laitila; sisters-Nancy Codere and Theresa Ebbinghaus; a brother-Ronald (Jeannine) Codere; sisters-in-law-Gladys Codere and Sharon Codere; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 6, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden.
