UPDATE: The graveside service for all family and friends will be at 12 Noon on Monday, September 16, at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden with Pastor Nelson Hall to officiate.
Theresa Sharon Haralson, 80, of Lake Linden, passed away on August 23, 2024 at Aspirus-Keweenaw Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Houghton on March 21, 1944, to Alfred and Annabelle (Fountaine) Kitchen.
Theresa worked as a babysitter, waitress, and cook before marrying the love of her life, Clayton Kenneth Haralson on September 10, 1960. She later worked for Community Action Food Service. She was well known for her decorated cakes including wedding cakes. She enjoyed Bingo and family, as well as knitting and sewing. She was a wonderful cook, baker, homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother who was very generous with her time and loved and was well loved in return.
She was a member of the Lake Linden United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, 4 sisters: Greta (Bill) Bingham, Janet (Lawrence) Peloso, Darlene (Daniel) Maki, Marie (Roy) Daley, 1 brother: Dennis Kitchen, in-laws: Clayton and Winifred Haralson, 1 son: David Haralson, 1 grandson: Jeffrey Chopp.
She is survived by: her husband; son Michael of Escanaba; daughter Tammy (Joseph) Chopp of Lake Linden and grandkids: Joseph, Stacy, Colton, Jared, Ethan, and David; son Brian (Robin) of Calumet and grandkids: Justin, Amber, Alecia, Damon, Aubriana, Danny, Alston, Rebecca, and Logan; great-grandkids: Jeremiah, Josiah, Emberlyn, Adalyn, Analeia, Aria, Julian, Isiah, and Ansley; sisters-in-law Diane Kitchen and Sharon (Paul) Monette; brothers-in-law Duane (Lynne) Haralson and Robert (Susan) Haralson; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and godsons.
As per the deceased wishes there will be no funeral services. Cremation has taken place. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
