Theresa A. (Thomas) Lantto, 72, a resident of Painesdale, passed away Tuesday January 19, 2021, at the Omega House in Houghton following a short illness.
She was born on December 10, 1948, in Hancock, a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Spolarich) Yrjana. Theresa was raised in Tapiola and attended the John A. Doelle School.
For the past 40 years she has made her home in Painesdale where she raised her family. On July 18, 1980, she was united in marriage to Thomas Lantto.
Mrs. Lantto was employed at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock. She had worked as a Nurse’s Aide, in the Housekeeping Department and the Laundry Department and was able to retire in 2010 after 26 years of service.
Theresa was active with T.O.P.S. being the weight master for a while, she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and any hand craft projects. She also enjoyed attending any craft shown, taking trips and visiting with anyone she could.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her daughter Julie Ann Joyal and her brother Arthur Yrjana.

Her grandchildren: Krystal, Devin, Steven, Gabe, LeRoy, Dustin, & Chris

A graveside service for will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in the Oskar Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Sheppard to officiate.
