Hancock
Theodore J. Yrjana, 85, a resident of Hancock passed away Tuesday evening April 30, 2019, at the UP – Health Marquette Hospital shortly after being admitted.
He was born on September 16, 1933, in Redridge, MI a son of the late Theodore and Winnefred (Alanen) Yrjana. Ted attended the Redridge School.
Mr. Yrjana was a veteran having served with the United States Army.
Theodore had worked various constructions and farming jobs in the area. He was proud to have worked as a sand Hog during the construction of the Houghton Lift Bridge.
Ted was a handy man that enjoyed working various projects for himself or helping others.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Military honors conducted by the Copper Country Veterans Association for Theodore will be held at a later time at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock.
