Suzanne M. Anttila, 81, a resident of Traprock Valley passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
She was born on October 2, 1936 in Ferndale, Michigan, to Wilbert and Lydia (Davidson) Sturos.
She attended the local schools, and after graduating from high school, she worked as both a secretary and a teacher’s aide.
On November 24, 1962, she was united in marriage to Peter Anttila. They celebrated their 55th anniversary this past November.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Lydia Sturos, Step mothers Mae and Eila Sturos.
She was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet.
She is survived by:

Paul “Fuzzie” (Julie) Anttila
19 grandchildren
9 great grandchildren

Ted (Patty) Sturos
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service for Suzanne will be held at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor David Taivalkoski to officiate.
Friends may call at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 10:00 am until the start of the funeral service.
Burial will take place in the Lake View Cemetery.
