As received from Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Service:
UPDATE: A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Hancock.
Steven Francis Wercinski, 63, a resident of Boston Location passed away peacefully on January 13th, 2023, with his children by his side.
Steve was born on Nov. 13th, 1959, in Landstuhl Germany to parents Celeste Wercinski and Clara (Bingham) Wercinski. Steve grew up in Cocoa Beach Florida, eventually relocating to the U.P. with his family. Steve was a caring, cool, and compassionate man that wouldn’t hesitate to help someone out in need. He was a jack of all trades that worked hard and spent most of his free time caring for animals, often fostering dogs in need of a loving home. He would never turn down an adventure, had a laugh that was contagious, often quick witted, and always had a joke that would put a smile on your face.
Steve is preceded in death by his father Celeste.
Surviving him are his mother Clara, siblings Michele (Neil) Dunn, Mike (Rhonda) Wercinski, Sam (Paul) Wercinski, and Joe (Pam) Wercinski, children Tabitha (Brad) Robbins, Cory Wercinski, and Nathan Wercinski, 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his significant other Sandy Lamothe.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to assist animals in need. Dad, we will see you on the dark side of the moon, until then, shine on you crazy diamond. Thanks for being a cool Dad.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held later this Summer.
